MCP Server

An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server is a standardized way for AI applications to connect to external data sources and tools. MCP servers act as intermediaries that expose resources (like files, databases, APIs) and tools (like functions, scripts) to AI models through a standardized interface. This creates a secure bridge between the AI and external systems.

CAST provides two MCP Server components, each targeting a different backend API. Choose the one that matches the results you want to query:

MCP Server for CAST Imaging

Interfaces AI clients with CAST Imaging results via the Imaging API. Query application architecture, transactions, quality insights, and code objects using natural language.

MCP Server for CAST Gatekeeper

Interfaces AI clients with the CAST Dashboard REST API. Query compliance status, technical debt, violations, and quality metrics using natural language.
