Search for an object
Find the objects, transactions, or nodes you need using global, spotlight, or custom view search
Overview
CAST Imaging provides three ways to find what you are looking for in your results. Which one you use depends on whether you are searching the whole application, the items already on screen, or within a specific transaction or saved view.
Which search should I use?
- Global search - search across the whole application, whether or not the objects are currently displayed. Supports filters (object type, tags, technical roles, properties, transactions, insights) and advanced Cypher queries. Use this to locate objects from scratch.
- Spotlight search - highlight items that are already visible in the current view by name. Use this to pick out objects in a graph you are already looking at.
- Custom view search - search within a Transaction, Data Call Graph, or Saved view for the objects, links, technologies, tags, or post-its it contains.
