MCP Server
An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server is a standardized way for AI applications to connect to external data sources and tools. MCP servers act as intermediaries that expose resources (like files, databases, APIs) and tools (like functions, scripts) to AI models through a standardized interface. This creates a secure bridge between the AI and external systems.
CAST provides two MCP Server components, each targeting a different backend API:
MCP Server for CAST Imaging
Interfaces AI clients with CAST Imaging results via the Imaging API. Use this server if you want to query application architecture, transactions, quality insights, and code objects from CAST Imaging.
This option is specifically for a direct installation on your Microsoft Windows machine.
/ This option is specifically for a direct install on Docker running on a Linux operating system. All components are provided as Docker images.
