Purpose (problem description)

This page will help you to solve issues you may face when using LDAP groups.  When using LDAP groups the user cannot see any applications.  But when logging as a specific LDAP user, everything works fine.

Step by Step scenario
1. A profile is created in the health dashboard and an application is authorized.
2. The network group is searched for and assigned the profile created in step 1.
3. Users who have the network group from step 2 can enter the dashboards, but the application authorized in step 1 does not appear.User may see the message "You don't have access to any application".
Known Issue 1

Perform the below actions

  1. Check if  security.ldap.groupsearch.roleAttribute=cn   is commented out in the application.properties file.  By default security.ldap.groupsearch.roleAttribute=cn   is not commented.
  2. If so then uncomment the same , i.e Include the parameter "security.ldap.groupsearch.roleAttribute=cn".
  3. If the problem you are facing still persists, report your problem to CAST Technical Support and provide the following Relevant input

 

Known Issue 2

If user do not have any profile assigned user may see this error when logging in.

  1. For this go to User configuration -> Users .
  2. Assign a profile to the LDAP user.
  3. If the problem you are facing still persists, report your problem to CAST Technical Support and provide the following Relevant input
