Purpose
This document provides solution when "CastStorageService2" service is not getting started and also with the attempt to launch pgAdmin3,the below error message pops up.
Error: The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application.

Action Plan
- Check that the CastStorageService working directory is accessible.
- Check that the CastStorageService working directory is not set to be read only.
- Check the Postgresql Log file that is in : CSS Log File:
- Go to the end of the log.
- Check the last error messages.
- This error is due to missing of Microsoft Visual C++ Security Update in the system.
To overcome from this issue download and install the Microsoft Visual C++ Security Update from the mentioned Microsoft link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2977003
After installing start the "CastStorageService2" service and launch the pgAdmin3.
