The Microsoft Visual Studio .NET Discoverer is not provided as an extension: instead it is embedded in AIP Core on your AIP Node and is therefore present "out of the box".

C#/VB.NET (ASP.NET) Web Site support

Configures one project for each Microsoft Visual Studio C#/VB.NET Web Site identified. In order to be identified as a Web Site project, the root folder must contain a web.config file. If a .csproj or .vbproj file is found in a sub-folder of the root Web Site project folder, a corresponding C# or VB.NET project will be created and the sub-folder will not be included in the Web Site delivery.

Note that:

  • there is no "discovery" for additional framework specific source code such as Entity Framework, Silverlight Framework, WCF, WPF, NoSQL (MongoDB) etc. This source code will always be delivered by default and included in the identified Visual Studio projects/web sites.
  • an exclusion rule is active by default, which will force basic .NET web site projects to be discovered but ignored when a full .NET project exists - you may wish to review this rule in the legacy CAST Delivery Manager Tool:

  • No labels
