Starting from CAST AIP 8.3.23, CAST Architecture Checker will no longer be installed as part of the CAST AIP setup, whether installing CAST AIP from scratch or on a server where a previous release of CAST AIP exists. CAST Architecture Checker has evolved into a standalone component where all feature requests and bug fixes are now managed. This standalone component can be downloaded from CAST Extend (https://extendng.castsoftware.com/#/search-results?q=archichecker).

Using the calls any or called by any layer option

When defining dependencies for your layers, you can, if required, allow a layer to:

call any layer
be called by any layer

To do so:

Right click your layer and select Calls any layer or Called by any layer:

An icon will be displayed in the title bar of your layer:

	Current layer can call any other defined layer
	Current layer can be called by any other defined layer
	Current layer can call any and be called by any defined layer

Notes

When you activate either option or both options, dependencies ( arrows) already in the Model tab in the Main window coming from or to the current layer will be removed.
