Overview

Key pre-condition to a successful analysis is the qualification of the target application technical attributes .

The analysis pre-qualification process is depicted here (click picture to magnify):

and include the following key tasks:

  •  Analysis Kick-off - This step is performed during a new application on boarding with CAST AIP (first time analysis). The expected outcome of this step is to identify and document all application team analysis stakeholders and participant including the subject matter expert responsible for the application source code delivery including database schema delivery or live connection set-up to development instance.
  • Application Qualification - In this the AI Admin facilitate the collection and review of application metadata that will be determine if any technical limitation exist and if any potential  workaround can be implemented.

How these task are implemented it will largely depend on the specific target deployment framework constraints.

Before committing the CAST AIP 7.1 platform for the analysis of the target application source code make sure you review the current supported language in the documentation release note and compare this with the list of officially supported languages/technologies for release 7.0.x.
