Source Extractor - ABAP - Unexpected output

This page provides the approach to troubleshoot the issues encountered while running the ABAP extractors.

When an issue occurs during the SAP Extraction :

1. Make sure that you have filled the fields of the ABAP extractor accordingly with the scope you need to extract as explained in the ABAP source code extraction page

If you do not find the information you are looking for or solution for your problem, in this page, contact CAST Technical Support with the following Relevant Input .

Relevant Input

• What is the ABAP Extractor version / name. For instance : ZCAST_EXTRACTOR_PRG_SAP40.txt, ZCAST_EXTRACTOR_TAB_SAP46.txt.
• Screenshot showing the ABAP SAP Extractor configuration that gives the scope of the extraction
• Screenshot showing the issue (error message or missing objects or additionnal objects extracted)
• If there is an extraction error message, screenshot of the Log file from SAP System with the error raised. This log looks like the screenshot below :

  

• If the data extracted is not as expected, the extraction log files are required, they are in the extraction folder.

• If it is an installation issue of the ABAP Extractor, the import log file is requested

• The Transaction SU53 that gives log about customer rights as below :
  

• To investigate further, an access to the customer SAP system where the extraction has been executed is required (with VPN access and credentials if required)
