    PeopleSoft 5.0.0

    • This extension has been adapted to function correctly with supported version of CAST AIP 7.3.x
    • Bug fixing - see PeopleSoft 5.0 - Bug Fix List.
    • The following Quality Rules have been fixed or improved:
      •  Fixed issue
        • 1600182 : PeopleSoft: Avoid renaming or changing attributes on existing projet's Fields
      •  Improved accuracy of the results based on the Metric Assistant with Unicode. Our internal tests show some differences for some quality rules on PeopleCode like:
        • 1600184 : PeopleSoft: Avoid PeopleCode Event with High Cyclomatic
        • 1600532 : PeopleSoft: Avoid PeopleCode using GROUP BY
        • 1600536 : PeopleSoft: Avoid PeopleCode using HAVING

    Function Point, Quality and Sizing support

    This extension provides the following support:

    • Function Points (transactions): a green tick indicates that OMG Function Point counting and Transaction Risk Index are supported
    • Quality and Sizing: a green tick indicates that CAST can measure technical size (LoC, Number of classes, Number of Programs, …) and that a minimum set of Quality Rules exist

    Please note:

    • For best performance and scalability when using a AIP 7.3.x release, CAST recommends using AIP 7.3.6 or a later 7.3.x service pack.
    • PeopleSoft 5.0.0 does not allow the extraction of  source code from a DB2 server.

    Tables required to grant access to the PeopleSoft repository

    The following database tables are likely to be accessed during the PeopleSoft extraction process: PEOPLESOFT_TABLES.txt.

    Note that the list of tables is taken from a PeopleSoft 8.50 repository. if you are extracting from a more recent PeopleSoft repository, the list of tables is still valid.

    Documentation of PeopleSoft Quality Rules and Metrics

    Documentation of all CAST Metrics and Quality Rules specific to the extension is delivered via a compiled HTML Help file (CHM). Please ensure that once the CHM has been downloaded you right-click on the CHM file in Windows Explorer and choose Properties > Unblock. This will ensure that the CHM is readable on your own PC.
