| AIP Console release | When using Extend local server with AIP Console ≥ 1.25, the minimum required release of Extend local server is 1.1.0-funcrel. |
| Disk space | CAST Extend local server requires at least 2GB of free disk space. |
| Network access | CAST Extend local server runs as a Windows service on the default port of 8085 (this can be customized). You may therefore need to adjust firewall rules on the server to allow incoming connections on the listening port. |
| Access to CAST Extend | Access to the following URL on port 443 via TCP is required in "online" mode: You will also need to register an account: https://extend.castsoftware.com/#/register |
| Proxy Settings | If the server (for example an AIP Node) which is accessing CAST Extend local server is also configured to pass all outgoing connections through a proxy (via the Windows proxy settings), then you may need to whitelist the IP address/host name of the server running CAST Extend local server in order to route connections correctly. |
- CAST Extend local server should only be installed once per "organization"
- All AIP Nodes managed by AIP Console will require access to the CAST Extend local server.
