Preview Linked Objects
This option provides a rapid and simple snapshot of an object's dependent objects. All linked objects currently displayed in the Object Browser window are identified and added to the Impact window.
To launch this option:
- Select an object (or objects) in the Graphical View.
- Right click the object to launch the shortcut menu - select Preview Linked Object
- Or select Explore > Preview Linked Object
- Or use the shortcut key F10
A search will then be carried out to identify all the objects linked to your selected object (or objects). All objects currently displayed in the Technical Browser and that match the Preview Linked Object filter will then be displayed in the Impact window:

Notes
- The filter that is used to decide which linked objects to display in the Impact window is identical to the default filter settings used in the Add Linked Objects dialog box - i.e.: all object types and all link types excluding Escalated Links.
- You can define your own filter using the Profile Manager dialog box.

If you have already defined your own filter profile, this can be selected prior to commencing the Preview Linked Object operation by clicking the
in the Impact window. The filter you choose here will then determine the objects that are displayed in this window. -
You can print the contents of the Impact window by right clicking an object and selecting Print.
