Opening a concurrent connection

To open a concurrent connection to a server (for example to a server that contains a different Knowledge Base):

  1. Create a new Profile (if one is not already available) that specifies the server you want to access (File > Connection, select New in the Existing Connections dialog box and then Add in the Open Profile Connection dialog box).
  2. When the Profile is displayed in the Open Profile Connection dialog box, select it.
  3. Click Open.
  4. The connection will be established and will be displayed in the Existing Connections dialog box.

When there are concurrent connections open, every time you launch a feature that requires a server connection (such as running the Assistant), you will be required to choose the connection you want to use in the Existing Connections dialog box

To close any concurrent connections:

  1. Select File > Connection from the menu bar - the Existing Connections dialog box will be displayed.
  2. In the list select the server connection you want to close.
  3. Click Delete to close the connection.
  4. The connection will be removed from the list and you will no longer be presented with a choice of servers when you launch a feature that requires a server connection.
