Knowledge Base connection
- During the CAST server side installation process a CAST Knowledge Base will be installed on your chosen server. The Knowledge Base will contain the results of analyses carried out with CAST Analysis Manager.
- The Knowledge Base is a standard schema/database created on an SQL server. You can choose to install it on any server of your choice (i.e.: development server on its own dedicated server or use the CAST Storage Service - recommended). If you do decide to install it on a dedicated server, it is still possible to analyze objects on other servers.
- When you connect with Enlighten to the server containing the Knowledge Base using a connection profile, the name of the Knowledge Base will be declared in the profile and automatically accessed (providing your username and login are declared and have sufficient access rights).
