Naming constraints
All items that can be created and then named within the CAST Management Studio have some limits with regard to the characters, length and names that can be used. Items include:
- Analysis Units
- Applications
- Architecture Models
- Assessment Models
- Database Servers
- Corporate entities
- System entities
- Object Filters
- User Defined Modules
- Versions
Characters
The field Name in the respective editors is restricted to the following characters:
- 01234567890
- abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
- ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ
- .!ù^é~#´{[è_çà@]=}+-°$£¾%§ñõìùòîôûê€
There are no character restrictions with regard to the field Description.
Length
There are also restrictions with regard to the length:
- The field Name in the respective editors is restricted to a length of 63 characters
- The field Description in the respective editors is restricted to a length of 255 characters
