Server Manager - Update Database - Fatal Error - Schema upgrade failed with error - The packaging in the Delivery has not been fully completed

Purpose (problem description)

When updating a database, a fatal error occurs with the error “The packaging in the Delivery has not been fully completed” .  The log also has the message:  GC overhead limit exceeded  as shown in the below screenshot of the log:

Step by Step scenario

  1. Update the databases to a new version
  2. Fatal error during the update

Action Plan

Perform the below actions

  1. In the CAST installation directory, go to the DeliveryManagerTool folder, and then add an ini file named DeliveryManagerTool-CLI.l4j.ini containing just the entry below and then run the update again (this assumes that you have 16 GB of free memory to potentially use for this action):

-Xmx16048m

2.
