CAST Engineering Dashboard display the following error: This Software is subject to a limited access - We were not able to get proper license information either your license key is missing or it is not valid.

Step by Step scenario

  1. Take a snapshot.
  2. Upload application to measurement database.
  3. Open CAST Engineering Dashboard.

Action Plan

Perform the below actions:

  1. Verify if issue is due to a Wrong license key installation
    This issue can be due to a wrong license key installation. To fix the problem, proceed as follows:  

    1. Go to the location of license key installation: %CATALINA_HOME%\webapps<web_application>\WEB-INF
    2. Verify if the extension of the file license is “.key” and not “.key.txt”. If yes then Modify the extension from “.key.txt” to “.key”
    3. Restart your application server so that the changes are taken into account.
