This page will help you to troubleshoot any fatal error you may face while an analysis unit is running on Run Metrics Calculation step.

Action Plan

Open the Run Metric Calculation log file and verify where the issue is happening:
1. If the fatal error is happening during parsing of a specific file, for instance after an information message like the following: [MAv2] Computing metrics on C:\CASTMS\Deploy8316\TestFalse\My Package\19951.c.
  1. Exclude the file and rerun the analysis and verify if it solves the issue.
  2. If issue persists and MA analysis finishes with a fatal error on a different file, consider using Dichotomy or continue with the file exclusion.
2. If the fatal error is happening during any other step, rerun analysis and verify that issue is reproduced
If the above steps do not help to solve the issue contact Cast Technical Support with the following Relevant Input.

Sherlock (CAST Support Tool (CST) - alias Sherlock) : This will provide us the logs and the bases to understand the environment and the information about the problem.
