CMS Application - Current Version - Duplicate Analysis Unit for Maven poject exported to Cast-MS when excluded from DMT

Description

This page describes the issue where you exclude a Maven project from DMT since same Eclipse project exists but the exclusion is not taken into account and the ignored project is still exported to Cast-MS as a duplicate AU.

If you have both Maven and Eclipse projects for the same project, we should be excluding either the Maven or the Eclipse project from the project exclusion.
When packaging is completed we choose to exclude the duplicate maven projects in the project exclusion section in DMT while keeping the Eclipse project as shown below:

Description

This page describes the issue when one single CAST-MS instance is used in multiple machines, we might observe that the project path in Analysis unit is missing.
This behavior is encountered under the below scenario:

Different users tries to access the same Application in the same or a different machine or
The same application instance is used in a different machine

The missing project path comes from the difference in the mode being used in Cast-MS.
We have 3 modes i.e. Regular,Advanced and Expert that can be set in Cast-MS and depending upon the selected mode, the level of information displayed to the customer will also differ.
The missing project path in any application can be seen if the mode is set to Regular.

Description

When examining analysis units in CAST MS after a delivery, analysis units are shown in CAST MS as added when DMT shows that the analysis units are ignored as shown in the screenshots below.

CAST-MS shows both projects:

DMT settings are to exclude Java projects when a Maven project exists as shown below:

This page help you to troubleshoot issues related to Analysis Unit not being created after the set as current version.

Step by Step Scenario

Package the source code
Deliver
Accept and set as current version

Action Plan

In CAST Management Studio, in the Current version tab, identify the package of the missing analysis units
In the Delivery tab, select the current version and click Manage delivery to open the DMT.
In the DMT, select the package of the analysis unit.
In the Package configuration tab, in the section Type of projects to discover in the package, check if the type of projects you expect to package is checked :
Go to the package content, in the section Log summary.
Check in the discovery logs if there are WARNING message that inform you that projects are not being analyzed.
If there such warning, remediate them.
Run the package again and check if the WARNING still appear.
If there are no alerts, contact CAST Technical Support with below Relevant Input in order to investigate.

Description

When examining the deployment path of the deployed packages, sometime, the deployment path of some deployed packages is wrong as below example :

In the above example, the deploy path is S:\Sources\SAMS, and for two deployed packages, the deploy path is S:\Sources\SAMS_13782
