CAST Imaging System - Modules - Missing Links

Purpose (problem description)

This page handles the case when you are expecting to get Links between Modules but the links are missing, for example you are expecting to get a link from Shopizer database to sm-shop:

Step by Step scenario

View modules

Action Plan

Make sure the modules don’t have shared objects as then the module links will not be seen
1. if there is any missing links among modules in imaging, then check if any objects from two layers have links.
2. if there are links and still the modules are not linked, then check if the linked objects are shared among modules.
3. if objects are shared, then that link is not considered in imaging and links between modules will be missing in imaging.
  1. The remediation if links are desired is to reconfigure the modules so that objects are not shared.
Otherwise Take an example of 2 objects that should be linked, one object from the first module and the second object from the second module
Check if each object is part of the corresponding module
1. If each object is part of the corresponding module, then refer to CAST Imaging System - Transactions view mode - Missing link
2. Else if one of the objects is not part of the corresponding module then refer to CAST Imaging System - Modules - Missing Object to investigate the issue of missing object from the module.

Check if the object is part of a module - SQL Queries - CAST Knowledge Base - Queries on Module - Module content and properties, if the object is not part of a module then refer to CMS Application - Modules - Incorrect module content - Missing objects

Check if the object is part of a module - SQL Queries - CAST Knowledge Base - Queries on Module - Module content and properties
1. If the object is part of a module then refer to CMS Application - Modules - Incorrect module content - Unexpected objects
2. Else if the object is not part of the module then perform the extract in Debug mode - CAST Imaging System - Information - Export application in debug mode and contact CAST Technical Support to provide the knowledge schema.
