If the code looks like below :

Select T.id 
from Table T 
where T.name = 'example_name';

T.name = ’example_name’ is seen as an implicit conversion from CHAR to VARCHAR ,’example_name’ is identified with a CHAR, provided name is declared as VARCHAR.

Hence it is a normal behavior
