Here are the steps to change the name or rename an existing application

  • Make sure that you have good backups in case you have problems with any of these steps.

  • Update the name in the AIC Portal where you have created the application.

  • Once you have updated the name in the AIC Portal, open Cast Management Studio (CAST-MS/CMS) and you should see the updated name.

  • Do a Save in CMS to save the updates to the Management Base (MB).

  • Do a Synchronize to save the updates to the local and central bases (KB and CB).

  • Upload snapshots to the measurement service to update the measurement database .
