Technical - Custom Aggregation limitation	CAST Imaging is now configured automatically to limit the number of nodes in a custom aggregation to 100,000 (one hundred thousand) when the custom aggregation is configured to use an existing CAST supplied aggregation (such as CAST Taxonomy, Module, Service, etc.). UI - Tags	We have added Modules/Services sections under tags in the right panel which will have the names of the Modules/Services that the objects in the view belong to. On clicking on these names, the objects belonging to those scopes will be highlighted in the view. Option to search (like tags search) is also available if user wants to search for some specific scope name. These options will be available in Objects/SubObjects level wherever applicable. UI - Welcome Page - Imaging Advisor	Imaging Advisor (available in the Welcome page) provides information about the status of your application with regard to a migration to a cloud provider such as AWS (Amazon Web Services), Microsoft Azure and GCP (Google Cloud Platform), e.g. the level of “cloud readiness” of your application (note: limited to applications containing Mainframe code). UI - Config Center - Manage Application Level-5 nodes	A new feature called “Config Center” has been added (available only to users with the role admin/ architect) which provides a means to hide nodes available in level 5. For example, you can hide the nodes that you are not interested in, or isolated nodes which do not provide any value. In the Config Center, tenants and associated applications are available for selection - and then the corresponding level-5 nodes of the selected application are listed and can be shown/hidden individually or in group/s. UI - Legend panel - Insights tab	A new tab called “Insights” has been added to the Legends panel allowing users to view an object’s critical violations, vulnerabilities, flaws, etc. By selecting a specific type of flaw/vulnerability, the objects in the view that have the same type of flaw/vulnerability are highlighted. Selecting the highlighted objects will display the details about the specific flaw/vulnerability in the object. UI - Investigate menu - Tabular view	In Investigate view > Graph Options, users can now switch to a tabular view to show the contents of the current view in table format. UI - Annotations	The “Document” feature (which allows the user to add notes to the selected view or nodes/objects) has been renamed as “Annotations”. UI - Maintain zoom level state	The zoom level set by users in the view is now maintained and reflected in the “vignette” as well as the main view on drilling down and closing the objects/sub-objects view. Previously, the zoom state was not maintained, which meant on returning to the main view after investigating an object, the view needed to be manually set again.
UI - Highlight Caller, Callee and Path	The existing options available on the view called Show Callees and Show Path have been renamed to Highlight Callee and Highlight Path and moved into the right click contextual menu. In addition a new option called Highlight Caller has been implemented and added in the contextual menu with the other two options. These three options are enabled on all scopes and levels in Imaging. UI - Node Selection Color	The selection, hover and highlight colors of nodes have been changed from red to blue.
UI - Welcome page - Version Date	Version date has been added to the “Application Info” section of the Welcome Page. For applications without version date, “-” is displayed.
UI - Reverse Selection in Graphical view - ALT+R	A shortcut ALT+R can now be used for reverse selection in graphical view. On pressing ALT+R the selected nodes would get unselected whereas the remaining nodes would get selected on the canvas. In previous releases, the popup served only as a warning that the resulting view would contain a large number of objects. UI - Change node and object icons from SVG to font rendering	All icons used for nodes and objects in the view now use font rendering instead of SVG files. UI - Show path improvements	The Show path feature has been improved: 1) now ALL the available paths from source to target node are highlighted and 2) it is no longer possible to select a target object from a list - instead source and target objects are selected directly in the view. This release is a fix for the Apache Log4j vulnerabilities CVE-2021-44228 (https://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2021-44228) and CVE-2021-45046 (https://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2021-45046) which were found in the third party component Neo4j. This release of CAST Imaging now includes Neo4j 4.3.9 which has been patched with Apache Log4j 2.16.0.

Oracle Server technology

CAST Imaging now creates direct “Use” links from Oracle DataBlocks to Oracle Table/Columns, by-passing the DataBlock Items and Triggers in between (these items were shown in the view in previous releases of CAST Imaging). On the newly created links, an information tooltip is available listing the DataBlock Item and Trigger information involved in the link (the tooltip will not be clickable):

GUI - Investigate Panel - Levels dropdown	The “Objects” option in the Levels dropdown has been removed across all scopes/views. When drilling down in a level 5 node, the two Perspective dropdowns “Aggregated By” and “Levels” are now disabled. The “Objects” label is now positioned next to the levels dropdown indicating that the user is in Objects view. In other scopes such as (Transactions, Module, etc.) it is possible to go directly to the Objects view by clicking the “Objects” link found next to the levels dropdown.
GUI - Application to Application Dependencies scope - hide links	It is now possible to hide a link between two applications in the Application to Application Dependencies scope: right click the link and select “Hide Link”. Hidden links are then listed in a dedicated section in the Admin Center, where they can be unhidden. Missing icons for concept nodes and objects are now fixed with a default icon.

IMAGSYS-494 - Add Chinese language and language selection options

Chinese language has been added as a language display option for all texts and menus in CAST Imaging.

It can be selected using a drop down menu, see Language selection.
It can be chosen as the default language for for all texts and menus, see Changing the default language (release ≥1.2.2)

Known issues and vulnerabilities

At present, it is only possible to extract data from an Analysis Service which contains one single Application.
Not all objects and links from the Analysis Service schema are loaded in CAST Imaging (i.e. nothing below Java class). Only link type implemented are “references” for links between concept nodes and call links between objects.
No count of number of objects for Transactions view
No double click on Edge on level 5 view for Transactions scope
Expand features and double click(Investigation) do not work in saved views
No ability to restrict viewing for users who should not see all applications
Applications containing the following technologies cannot be imported into CAST Imaging at the current time:
- PeopleSoft
- Siebel
- Informatica
When using the Save View functionality: if nodes have been grouped together (using the Grouping feature) before the view is saved, when the saved view is subsequently opened, instead of displaying the “grouped node” icon to represent the grouped nodes, the nodes themselves will be displayed on top of each other.
