✅	CAST Imaging installed	The target server must already have an existing installation of CAST Imaging installed on it.

✅	Backup	CAST highly recommends performing a data backup before you start the upgrade process. When upgrading from ≤ 1.11 to ≥ 2.0, a backup is mandatory due to a data transformation process that is required for a new release of Neo4j.
✅	Installation location	It is not necessary for the existing installation to be installed in the default location (%PROGRAMFILES%\CAST\ImagingSystem) - the installer will locate the existing installation automatically.

Updating an existing installation of CAST Imaging requires that you run the ImagingSystemUpdate.exe installer. This update installer will update the existing installation to the new version. With regard to Application data - all data that has already been imported into CAST Imaging will be retained and can be viewed in the newly updated CAST Imaging installation without any further action.
