First login and become super admin

The first person to log in to CAST Imaging following authentication configuration (or when changing the authentication mode) will be confronted with the following message - this indicates that the user that has logged in is not permitted to access any data and that there are no users with the SUPER ADMIN role:

The first step to resolve this is to assign one user the SUPER ADMIN role which has permission to access all data, configuration settings and tenants. To do so and assuming that the current logged in user should be granted the SUPER ADMIN role, click the settings button highlighted below:

Configure a license key

Login to CAST Imaging with a user that has been granted the ADMIN role (for example the default “admin” user if you are using local authentication) and click the settings icon:

The system will detect that no license key exists and will instruct you to enter one. Please contact CAST Support to request a license key:

When entered, the license key along with its validity details will be displayed in the license keypanel:

Configure user permissions

Introduction

There are various different access permissions that can be grantedto a User or a Group of users via a system of roles. These permissions define access to the Admin Center, access to application data and access to CAST Imaging UI features. You should therefore define these roles so that your users can access the data they require.

Introduction

It is possible to view object source code direct in CAST Imaging. Source code is available by right clicking objects in the Investigation view (available after a double clicking an item at Level 5) and selecting Show source code. Below is an explanation of how to configure the source code viewer.
