User Guide - GUI - Keyboard shortcut keys

This page lists the keyboard shortcut keys available in CAST Imaging. You may view all the available short cuts by clicking on the SHORTCUTS option available in the ADMIN drop-down.

Global Shortcuts

Global Shortcuts are applicable across all views.

Below table lists the Global Shortcut keys.

Shortcut key	Page/View/Scope/level	Details
Alt+Left click	Rectangle selection	Rectangle object selection. Press Alt+Left click to select the objects using rectangle box. Go to any level and and press Alt+Left click, then select ALL or the required objects using rectangle selection option. This keyboard shortcut is also available as a menu option under "Selection Tools". See: User Guide - GUI - Menus and Icons#Leftsidebarmenus.
Ctrl+Left click	Lasso selection	Lasso object selection. Press Ctrl+Left Click to select the objects using Lasso Selection. This keyboard shortcut is also available as a menu option under "Selection Tools". See: User Guide - GUI - Menus and Icons#Leftsidebarmenus.
Alt+A	Select all	Select All the objects. Press Alt+A to select all the objects in the view.
Alt+R	Reverse selection Graphical view (all the scopes and the levels)	Reverse/flip object selection. On pressing ALT+R, selected nodes are unselected and the remaining nodes are selected: Go to any level and select an object (or multiple objects): Use ALT+R: all the unselected objects will now be selected and the previously selected nodes will now be unselected: This keyboard shortcut is also available as a menu option under "Selection Tools". Ctr+/	Global search	Global Search for the objects. Press Ctrl+/ to search objects globally.
Alt+P	Properties	Properties window for the selected object. Press Alt+P to view the properties window of the selected object.
Shift+Alt	Override new tab behavior
