Known Issues

Snapshot retention policy feature not working as expected - Recommendation is to not use it.
Snapshot is not deleted when a START_AT parameter of 1 (DMT Code Delivery), 2 (Accept Delivery), 3 (Run Analysis) or 4 (Run Snapshot) is used to rerun the last failed job if it generated a snapshot.

CAST AIP Automation Solution

AIP Automation Solution is based on the Jenkins Continuous Integration system and supports automation which has been tested against AIP versions specified in the Automation Tooling#FieldToolingCompatibilityTesting . Each application is automated individually through its own Jenkins job, and consists of seven configurable tasks to complete CAST analysis process from delivery to database optimization.

Introduction

The installation of the automation framework involves two key components, Jenkins and the CAST Batch Web Service. Jenkins will run under almost any operating system, however since CAST will only run on windows, to keep things simple, it is recommended that it be installed under windows. This is only a recommendation, if the client has a working version of Jenkins, in an environment other than Windows use it.
This section describes the installation process for all required components.

JAF V1.5 Build 4 - Migration From V1.5 Build 3

Backup existing CBWS installation folder “<Installed_path>\ CastBatchWSServer” to a new folder e.g. “<Installed_path>\CastBatchWSServer _<current_date>”.
Unzip CastBatchWSServer-1.5_Build4.zip to a temp path e.g. <Temp_path>\WSBatchServer-1.5_Build4
Stop “CastBatchWSServer” service

Copy below folder and files from the path <Temp_path>\WSBatchServer-1.5 and replace the same in “<Installed_path>\CastBatchWSServer”.

Edit file CastAIPWS.properties in the CBWS installation folder e.g. <Installation_path>\CastBatchWSServer\CastAIPWS.properties
Add a new line “caip.version=8.3” as below.

Close and save the file.
Start CastBatchWSServer.
