Arrange Objects Wizard

The Arrange Objects Wizard is an automated wizard which enables you to select from three “Arrange Options”:

Spring Algorithm
Triangulation Algorithm
Circular Algorithm

All objects in the Graphical view will be considered and then arranged with these options. See Arranging objects in the Graphical View for more information about all the arrange objects options.

Accessing the Arrange Objects Wizard

To launch the Arrange Objects Wizard:

Select Graphic located on the menu bar, then select Arrange Objects from the drop down menu.
Or use the shortcut key: CTRL+R

The dialog box displayed below will then be launched. Select the arrange style that you prefer by clicking the option button next to the image, and then click the Next> button to launch a sub dialog box for the option chosen.

ENL - Bookmarks

Bookmarks

Bookmarks are displayed in the Code Viewer when viewing the code of an object displayed in the Search In Code List (after having carried out a Search in Code operation).

They mark the position of character strings that have been located and identified during the Search in Code operation:

In this example, the character string “date” was searched for in a Search in Code operation. The results were then displayed in the Search In Code List and an object was selected and its code was displayed in the Code Viewer.

ENL - Knowledge Base

Knowledge Base

The Knowledge Base is a standard schema/database created on your SQL server during the installation process. It contains the results of source code analyses (both client and server side) carried out with CAST Analysis Manager.

ENL - Oracle Home Selector dialog box

Oracle Home Selector dialog box

The Oracle Home Selector dialog box is displayed when more than one Oracle Home has been detected on your machine by CAST Products. This can happen when you are using any CAST Product and can prove problematic if you are extensively using the command line to launch processes (the dialog box will be launched, halting the process).

When the dialog box is launched, select which Oracle Home you want to use with the process you are attempting to carry out - select the Oracle Home you require (will be highlighted in blue) and click OK.
