ENL - Launching Search in Code/BF/Comments
Launching Search in Code/BF/Comments
This feature is in fact two features that function in very similar ways:
Search in Code
- Click the menu Tools then select Search in Code from the drop down menu
- Right click “white space” in the Graphical View or in the Technical/Domain Browser and select Search in Code from the shortcut menu.
- Use the shortcut key CTRL+M.
These options will then automatically launch a series of wizards. The first wizard screen enables you to select the object or group of objects you want to use as the starting point for the search.
Search in BF/Comments
- Click the menu Tools then select Search in BF/Comments from the drop down menu
- Right click “white space” in the Graphical View or in the Technical/Domain Browser and select Search in BF/Comments from the shortcut menu.
Object Preselection
Alternatively (for both features), you can pre-select (in the Graphical View or in the Technical Browser) the objects you want to search by holding down the CTRL or SHIFT keys and then selecting with the mouse. You can then use one of the launch options described above.
If you do so, the initial Wizard step will be skipped, and you will move directly to the second wizard screen in which you can enter the character string you want to search for.
