Launching the Profile Manager

To launch the Profile Manager, you can:

Click the menu Tools then select Profile Manager… from the drop down menu

These options will then automatically launch the Profile Manager dialog box.

Profile Builder dialog box

The Profile Builder dialog box is launched when you click the Create button in the Profile Manager dialog box. It is used to define the filter parameters for your filter profile.

Name

This field contains the name of the Filter Profile that is being created or modified. Click Load to open a Profile from the Profile Manager dialog box.

Path

This field contains the profile's path as stored on your PC. Click Browse to search for another filter profile saved on your PC.

Display in Menu

Select this option if you want your newly created filter profile to be displayed in the Profile Manager dialog box.

If you leave this option blank, the profile will be saved on your PC, but will NOT appear in the Profile Manager dialog box.

The Profile Manager dialog box displays any Filter Profiles already saved (if any) along with the path location on your hard disk.

It also offers the various handling option buttons New, Import, Remove or Modify:

Loading a filter profile

When you want to load a profile that you have a created, click the Load button in one of the various dialog boxes that use Profiles (such as the Add Linked Objects dialog box), this will then open the Profile Manager dialog box (see above) which displays a list of all the Profiles stored on your PC. Select the Profile that you require from the list and then click the OK button. The profile you selected will now appear in whatever function you are using.

What is the Profile Manager?

The Profile Manager enables you to organize and manage the Filter Profiles that you use in some of the application’sother functions (such as the Add Linked Objects feature).

A Filter Profile is a set of parameters that you use on a regular basis in one of the application’s features. For example, if you often use a certain set of filter parameters, such as only Escalated Links and Called and Calling Links, you can save these parameters to file as a Filter Profile and then re-load them whenever you want to use them again.
