Defining scope and source/destination objects |
Once you have launched the Path Finder, you will be prompted to select the scope of your Path Finder operation and then the source and destination objects.
Define Scope
| The Define Scope dialog box enables you to select the analyzed projects (jobs) - both client and server objects - that will be taken into account during the Path Finder operation. In addition, all selected projects will be added to the Technical Browser on completion of the Path Finder process. This screen displays all jobs (projects) that have been analyzed and are stored in the CAST Knowledge Base. Select the projects and objects you want to include in the Path Finder scope and click Next to continue. |
Select source object
| This dialog box displays all client and server objects that belong to the jobs (projects) you selected in the Define Scope dialog box. Use this dialog box to search for and select the object that you want to use as the source point for your Path Finder operation. Click Next to continue. |
Select target object
| This dialog box also displays all client and server objects that belong to the jobs (projects) you selected in the Define Scope dialog box. Use this dialog box to search for and select the object that you want to use as the target point for your Path Finder operation. Click Next to continue. The Path Finder operation will be carried out and the results displayed automatically. |
