What is the Output window?
The Output window displays a variety of information. The window comprises a set of tabs, each providing separate pieces of information. Clicking a tab will display the required information:
- Log Window - messages and errors returned by the server or by the application
- User List - enables you to display and save a list of objects
- Search In Code List - displays the results of a Search in Code operation
- Search In Comment List - displays the result of a Search in Comment operation
- Report - displays the Join Links Report (only for Oracle users) and the results of the Project differences feature.
If you want to hide the Output window:
- Click View > Output
- Repeat the process to re-display the window
- You can also click the close icon in the top right-hand corner.
By default, the window will be “docked” at the bottom of the screen. However, you can move the window to a different location should you require:
- Double-click anywhere in the title bar - this will “undock” the window and you will then be able to move it as normal.
- The window has other “docked” positions which can be used by moving the window until its outline changes shape and then releasing the mouse button, or you can double-click in the title bar to restore the “docked” position.
