What is the Output window?

The Output window displays a variety of information. The window comprises a set of tabs, each providing separate pieces of information. Clicking a tab will display the required information:

• Log Window - messages and errors returned by the server or by the application
• User List - enables you to display and save a list of objects
• Search In Code List - displays the results of a Search in Code operation
• Search In Comment List - displays the result of a Search in Comment operation
• Report - displays the Join Links Report (only for Oracle users) and the results of the Project differences feature.

If you want to hide the Output window:

1. Click View > Output
2. Repeat the process to re-display the window
3. You can also click the close icon in the top right-hand corner.

By default, the window will be “docked” at the bottom of the screen. However, you can move the window to a different location should you require:

1. Double-click anywhere in the title bar -  this will “undock” the window and you will then be able to move it as normal.
2. The window has other “docked” positions which can be used by moving the window until its outline changes shape and then releasing the mouse button, or you can double-click in the title bar to restore the “docked” position.
