The Domain Browser contains a visual representation of the Functional Domains stored in your Knowledge Base and the objects that you have associated with them.
Functional Domains enable you to group together objects of a similar functional use in one “domain”. For example, you may have several Java projects stored in the Knowledge Base. If you create a Functional Domain called “Java Classes” and associate all the Java classes from all the projects in the Knowledge Base you will then be able to see, at a glance, ALL the Java classes under the “Java Classes” domain.
This is just one example of how to use Functional Domains - however, their use is wide and varied.
Shortcut menu items

| - | CTRL+SHIFT+F | Find Object in Browser | This option enables you to search for an object present in the Technical Browser by its name. The Find dialog box will launch. |
| - | - | Collapse All | This option will completely collapse all open tree nodes in the Technical Browser. Only root level items will be displayed. |
| F10 | Preview Linked Object | This option provides a rapid and simple snapshot of an object's dependent objects. All linked objects currently displayed in the Object Browser window are identified and added to the Impact window (Linked Objects tab). | |

| Use this option to locate the selected object in the chosen Graphical View. |

| Use this option to place the selected object in the chosen Graphical View (model). |

| Use this option to associate the selected object to a specific Library or to a new Library. |

| Use this option to associate the selected object to a specific Functional Domain. The Domain Manager will launch. |

| Use this option to append the selected object to the User List. |

| Use this option to remove the selected object from a specific Functional Domain. |
 | F11 | Code Viewer | Use this option to display the code of the selected object in the Code Viewer. |

 | F12 | Properties | This option will display an HTML based report about the selected object or objects in the Property window. |
Notes
- You can place objects in the Graphical View from this tab - the simplest method is to drag and drop the objects.
- A red tick (
) next to an object displayed in the Domain Browser indicates that the object is already present in the Graphical View.
