Creating a CAST Support Tool export for CAST Support
Summary: This section describes the how to create a CAST Support Tool (also known as Sherlock) export if requested to by CAST Support.
Note that a CAST Support Tool export can take some time to process - in addition it will not be possible to run any jobs in Console when the export is initiated so you should plan the export with this in mind.
Prerequisites
| ✅ | Ensure that your Application already exists. |
| ✅ | Ensure that you are logged in as a user with the Admin role. |
Process
Login with a user account that already has the Admin role and switch to the Admin Center:

Ensure you are working in the Applications tab:

Find the Application you would like to export with Sherlock and click Options > View Details:

In the Application Details panel, expand the CAST Support (Sherlock) option and click Export Application to start the process:

An options dialog is then displayed - click Export to start the export process:

| Name | Choose a name for the CAST Support Tool export file - by default the name YYYY-MM-DD will be chosen. |
| Export database | Choose whether you want to export the Application schemas associated to the selected Application - by default this is selected. |
| Export source code | Choose whether you want to export any source code associated to the selected Application - by default this is selected. |
| Export logs | Choose whether you want to export all logs associated to the selected Application - by default this is selected. |
The action window will display the export process:

On completion, the Sherlock export will be listed in the details screen and can be downloaded as a zip file and given to CAST Supportor deleted:

The CAST Support Tool export is stored in the following location:
≥ 2.x: \\share\aip-node-data\common-data\sherlock\<application_name>\<export_name>.zip
1.x: <console_installation>\AipNode\data\sherlock\<application_name>\<export_name>.zip
