RDBMS - CAST Storage Service - Performance Issue - PGADMIN III takes time to connect to a CSS or PostgreSQL server

Purpose

When the postgresql server has many schemas, the PGADMIN may take time to open.

Action Plan
  1. Open PGADMIN III
  2. Click File > Options
  3. Under Browser >  Display, select only Databases and Schemas (sufficient for the most common usage of pgadmin)

  4. If you are already connected either refresh or disconnect and connect again and this time it should be much faster to open up pgadmin and to launch the SQL Query window..
