Purpose (problem description)
Error encountered in DMT, after selecting manifest file and when we try to choose schema to extract.
Option used is : CAST extractor output for DB2 zOS
Error during parsing of schema file list : D:\DEF.DBASE
java.io.FileNotFoundExcept: D:\...\DEF.DBASE
The system cannot find the file specified
This error can be seen in the extraction log. To see the log location, refer the section Possible location for logs of the page : CAST Management Studio - Information - How to find logs

- Launch DMT
- Select DB2 ZOS
- Select manifest file
- Try to choose schema to extract
- Error encountered

Action Plan
- Get the input
- Observe the Manifest file if the format is correct or there is any junk char or number at the end of each row as shown in the attached screenshot
- If there is , the solution is to remove such char/number and redo the steps
- Please cross check with customer if these junk numbers are added during the transfer.
- If yes, then ensure that you use the DB2 FTP tool with the parameter LOCSITE TRAILINGBLANKS when transferring schema data from the host server to your Windows platform prior to using the DB2 zOS Extractor.
