Description

 When trying to use the Delivery Manager Tool (DMT) extension for CVS, the following error like the one below is encountered in the extraction log indicating an access issue:

org.netbeans.lib.cvsclient.response.ResponseException:Q:\data\{55cac91b-829b-4915-a61e-081dc87b81f6}\{c13e98d1-edb2-4380-993b-fe45be2b5978}\{b8780811-4609-4f50-a95e-9da3d8d979ec}\tmp\volatile\content\1\<application path>\CVS\cvsPostConversion941791585429669057tmp (Access is denied)

  • No data is extracted that can be analyzed.
Action Plan

To fix the problem, proceed as follows:

  1.  Verify that there are no missing folders in the CVS repository that can cause problems with CAST extracting the files.  Extracting the same CVS repository outside of CAST with CVS tools can verify if the extraction should succeed.
  2. Verify that there is sufficient disk space for extraction of the CVS repository in the CAST DMT folders.
