This page gives solution to the below error which occurred while running a UI analysis:
Failed to parse xml file: (File cannot be opened (pos l: 0 col: 0))

- Configure a UI analysis
- Run analysis & analysis fails in few seconds with error - Failed to parse xml file: (File cannot be opened (pos l: 0 col: 0))
This error is the result of regression on 7.3.2 where the UI analyzer looks for LanguagePattern.xml file.
This error was encountered while using PowerCenter Language Package, hence for reference a dummy PowerCenterLanguagePattern.xml is attached here PowerCenterLanguagePattern.xml
The solution for this problem is to
- Create a dummy XXXLanguagePattern.xml file in the UI profile/package (in the path Configuration\Languages\<XXX>\<XXXLanguagePattern.xml>)
- Re-run the analysis.
- If your issue is not resolved after following the above steps then contact CAST Technical Support with relevant input.
Analysis - Analysis proceeds successfully without error
This issue only occurs in 7.3.2 and it is fixed in v 7.3.3
