This page is a guide to troubleshoot the problems you may encounter while using the CMS Infrastructure Services - Connection
Connection feature is used to test the connection from the CAST Management Studio to your database server hosting your Management/Analysis/Dashboard Services (in case of connection issues, or when you have added a Database server) then you can do so from the service view, Refer the screen shot below:

- If you are getting the error "Can't connect Database...." as shown in the screenshot below while testing the connection between CAST-MS and Database server, you need to check the network issue.
If your database triplet is Microsoft SQL Server, and you encounter an error message similar to this:
Browse failed - * Can't Connect Database DB_TEST * Unable to get information from SQL Server: DB_SERVER
Then it means that the SQL Server Browser service is not started. Start it and retry to connect.
