  5. Reproduce the issue

Get the customer's input

  1. Get customer's expectation and justification
  2. The result of this query to be executed on central repository used for report generation.

Get the customer's input to reproduce

  1. The user and password to connect to the dash board
  2. Dump of central repository

Check the Report Configuration

The aim of this check is to identify that all parameters used in the report definition are correctly set. If you can identify any incoherence, come back to customer by explaining

  • the identified incoherence
  • how to adjust the incoherent parameter

In this page, you can find sample(s) of incoherent parameters used in the report configuration leading to unexpected result.
In you can see for example that no application or system has been precised in the report configuration parameters, you can suggest this Solution
If you cannot identify any incoherence, get inputs for reproduction and Reproduce the issue

Reproduce the issue

  1. Import the central site
  2. Connect to the Dashboard with same user as customer
  3. Create and save the report using same section(s) and parameter(s) as customer
  4. Display the generated report.
  5. Compare the content of the report regarding the associated section of the dashboard: the table containing the correspondence between report builder and the section of the dashboard
  6. Transmit to the Dashboard team

Transmit to the Dashboard team

In the Jira report, provide

  1. Get customer's expectation and justification
  2. The customer central
  3. The step by step scenario to create report by precising
    1. The user to connect to the dashboard
    2. The section(s) and parameter(s) used to create the report

Solution

The report is empty because no application or system has been precised in the report parameter. To get a correct PDF report, the user should set the parameter System (or Application) to a value different from 'any value'

To do this:

  • Click on create section button before generating dashboard
  • set the value for system parameter as shown in this screen shot
  • save and click on back button
  • generate PDF report
