CAST Action Plan Optimizer - Mismatch in grades between original and simulated

This page describes the issue,root cause and solution if there is a mismatch between original and simulated grade in Action Plan Optimizer

Step by Step scenario

1. Run analysis + snapshot
2. Launch Action Plan Optimizer
3. Connect to particular connection profile
4. Click on Detailed simulation tab
5. Observe mismatch in original grade and simulated grade

Root cause of this issue can be related to the QR - 'CWE-353: Avoid using Cipher with no HMAC to ensure data integrity' where threshold of this particular QR are inverted in assessment model. If this is the case please proceed to next step.

To troubleshoot this issue, you need the following Relevant Input

Perform the below actions:

1. Launch CAST-MS.
   1. Double click on Assessment model to open it.
   2. Search for QR -  'CWE-353: Avoid using Cipher with no HMAC to ensure data integrity' in Quality Rule tab.
   3. Double click on the rule to open it.
   4. Click on Grade Thresholds tab on opened QR window
   5. You will see the below threshold order set which is wrong.
   6. 
   7. Now to resolve the issue revert the order of the 4 thresholds as shown below
   8. 
2. After reverting the order take a snapshot skipping analysis.
3. Once snapshot is done, launch the APO and check the results.
