Action Plan
  1. For extend issues, if you are using the URL https://extendng.castsoftware.com:443/api then try instead using the URL  https://extend.castsoftware.com:443/api
    1. Both URLs at the moment should work, but the official one is now back to the URL  https://extend.castsoftware.com:443/api (extend vs. extendng)
  2. If you come across an issue where the log says the "PKIX path building failed" or "unable to find valid certification path to requested target", the page here will help you solve your issue - SSL Errors - PXIX path building failed - How to import certificate into JRE/JDK
  3. Check whether you are able to Download an Extension using Extension Downloader on the server where AIP Node is Installed.
  4. If you do have a proxy to connect to CAST Extend, make sure the proxy setting is configured in the system proxy settings of the AIP Node server.
  5. Along with setting up the proxy on the Node machine, you also need to ensure the login for which this proxy is being setup is the same as the one used to run the AIP Node services.
  6. If you are using the extend service, make sure the port is configured correctly in the Public URL field in the Config.json file in Offline Extend installation path
  7. After upgrading to AIP Console 1.25x and higher, you might come across the below error during the update extesnion step -
  1. Select the section you are interested in.
  2. If the problem you are facing does not match any case listed in this page, report your problem to CAST Technical Support and provide the following Relevant input for CAST Technical Support to reproduce the issue.
