Resolved issues

Internal IDTicket IDSummary
IMAGSYS-520-Fix dropdown, object info issues in Edge.

Known issues and vulnerabilities

  • At present, it is only possible to extract data from an Analysis Service which contains one single Application.
  • Not all objects and links from the Analysis Service schema are loaded in CAST Imaging (i.e. nothing below Java class). Only link type implemented are "references" for links between concept nodes and call links between objects.
  • No count of number of objects for Transactions view
  • No double click on Edge on level 5 view for Transactions scope
  • Expand features and double click(Investigation) do not work in saved views
  • No ability to restrict viewing for users who should not see all applications
  • Applications containing the following technologies cannot be imported into CAST Imaging at the current time:
    • PeopleSoft
    • Siebel
    • Informatica
  • When using the Save View functionality: if nodes have been grouped together (using the Grouping feature) before the view is saved, when the saved view is subsequently opened, instead of displaying the "grouped node" icon to represent the grouped nodes, the nodes themselves will be displayed on top of each other.

1.2.1

Updates

Performance

Performance has been improved for the CAST Imaging UI.

IMAGSYS-482 - Updates delivered as a Service Pack

Updates are now delivered as Service Packs which can either be installed:

Note 1 - CSV data exporter and importer tools

The CSV data exporter and importer tools have now been moved to a new "combined" installation location (the Service Pack will remove the existing locations from disk):

Release 1.2.0: %PROGRAMFILES%\CAST\ImagingSystem\exporter
Release 1.2.0: %PROGRAMFILES%\CAST\ImagingSystem\importer

Release ≥ 1.2.1: %PROGRAMFILES%\CAST\ImagingSystem\imagingetl

Note 2 - Manual copy operation to perform if you have customized the CSV data import location

If you have customized the default CSV data import location for security reasons (see Export and import the Application data), then you must perform a manual copy of certain files which the CAST Imaging service pack will update - the service pack cannot update the files in a custom import location.

IMAGSYS-402/IMAGSYS-492 - remover.exe tool added

Application data that has been imported into CAST Imaging can now be removed using the remover.exe tool. See CAST Imaging - Advanced configuration for more information.

1.2.0

Initial release.

Updates

  • The Application layer view comprises 5 levels of views based on grouped concept nodes to get a top down investigation view.
  • The Investigation view can be generated from level 5 view and provides details on specific areas of the application based on links or node drill-down.
  • The Transaction views use the same concept as Application layer views with level 4 and level 5, plus one additional Object level view. The same Investigation view can be generated from level 5 view for Transactions.
  • The Object Search feature is available with dedicated new views only (not saved views) and provides investigation capabilities on results.
  • The Saved view feature is available - views can be saved and then re-opened in a new session.

Known issues and vulnerabilities

  • Application names containing a space or starting with a number cannot be loaded into CAST Imaging

  • Missing icons: some objects do not yet have a dedicated icon yet.
  • Not all objects and links from the Analysis Service schema are loaded in CAST Imaging (i.e. nothing below Java class). Only link type implemented are "references" for links between concept nodes and call links between objects.
