Creating a Delivery Group
You need to create delivery groups based on server OS. The delivery group can deliver both hosted shared desktops and applications. Before creating the Delivery Group, you need to ensure that a Machine Catalog is created in the machine.
- Go to Citrix Studio and right-click on Delivery Groups and select Create Delivery Groups.
- Click Next.
- Select the Server machine catalog that we have created in the previous chapter, choose "1" and Click Next.
- Select "Desktop and applications" as delivery type and click next. Note: you can also choose "Applications" This will allow you to publish apps only.
- Click Add.
- Type "POC" and click Check Name.
- Assign the user group "CAST" from Active Directory with permission to use this delivery group and click OK.
- Then, click Next.
- Do not select any applications now, just click Next.
- Accept defaults and use the automatically created StoreFront Store and click Next.
- Enter Delivery Group and display Name as "Cast Software" and click Finish.
Installing CAST AIP
Before installing CAST AIP, you have to move all CAST AIP files to the worker server. To do this -
- Click on Windows start menu on the worker server and select Control Panel.
- Click Install Application on Remote Desktop.
- Click Yes in next screen.
- Click Next.
- Click Browse.
- Select the CAST AIP "setup.bat" file located on the local hard drive and click Open.
- Click Next.
- Click Next. Refer to the CAST AIP installation procedure for details.

- In XenApp Studio, click on Delivery Groups and select Create Application.
- Click Next.
- Click Next.
- Check all applications listed below and click Change.

- Click New Folder.
- Enter "Cast AIA" and Click OK.
- Click OK.
- Click Next.
- Click Finish.
- Now we must limit the visibility of "Cast Admins applications" only for "CASTADMINS" group. Right-click "CAST Update Tool" and select Properties.
- Click Limit Visibility.
- Select "Limit Visibility for ....." and click Add User...
- Select Windows Group "CASTADMINS" and click OK.
- Click OK.
- Repeat steps 11 to 15 for the application "CAST Upgrade Wizard", "ExtensionDownloader" and "Server Manager".
