Using the refresh options

If modifications are made to objects in an open Graphical View and these objects are subsequently re-analyzed and stored in the Knowledge Base, the Graphical View may not accurately reflect reality. To update the Graphical View, use the Refresh options:

Refresh the Graphical View
  1. Use the Graphic > Refresh Graphical View option located on the menu bar (or you can use the shortcut key: F5).

The Graphical View will then be re-drawn and updated to reflect the current state of the Knowledge Base.

Refresh Object
The Refresh Object option is identical to the Refresh option (see above) except that only those objects you pre-select in the Graphical View will be refreshed. To access the Refresh Object option:
  1. In the Graphical View, select the objects you want to refresh with the mouse button whilst holding down either the SHIFT or CTRL buttons.
  2. Use the Graphic > Refresh Object option located on the menu bar.

The selected objects will then be re-drawn and updated to reflect the current state of the Knowledge Base.

Notes

  • If a server side object is modified with an IDE other than SQL-Builder, the Knowledge Base will NOT be automatically synchronized (updated).
  • You can also use F5 to refresh the contents of the Object Browser window.
