Defining scope and starting object

Once you have launched the Call Hierarchy feature, you will be prompted to select the scope (i.e. which objects will be included in the analysis process) and then the initial start object for the analysis process.

Define Scope

The Define Scope dialog box enables you to select the analyzed projects (jobs) - both client and server objects - that will be taken into account during the analysis process.

In addition, all selected projects will be added to the Technical Browser on completion of the analysis.

This screen displays all jobs (projects) that have been analyzed and are stored in the CAST Knowledge Base.

Select the projects and objects you want to include in the Call Hierarchy scope and click Next to continue.

Select starting object

This dialog box displays all client and server objects that belong to the jobs (projects) you selected in the Define Scope dialog box.

Use this dialog box to search for and select the object that you want to use as the starting point for your Call Hierarchy.

Click Next to continue. The Call Hierarchy dialog box will then be launched.
