Starting from CAST AIP 8.3.23, CAST Architecture Checker will no longer be installed as part of the CAST AIP setup, whether installing CAST AIP from scratch or on a server where a previous release of CAST AIP exists. CAST Architecture Checker has evolved into a standalone component where all feature requests and bug fixes are now managed. This standalone component can be downloaded from CAST Extend (https://extendng.castsoftware.com/#/search-results?q=archichecker).

Using the calls any or called by any layer option
When defining dependencies for your layers, you can, if required, allow a layer to:
- call any layer
- be called by any layer
To do so:
- Right click your layer and select Calls any layer or Called by any layer:
- An icon will be displayed in the title bar of your layer:
 | Current layer can call any other defined layer |
 | Current layer can be called by any other defined layer |
 | Current layer can call any and be called by any defined layer |
Notes
- When you activate either option or both options, dependencies ( arrows) already in the Model tab in the Main window coming from or to the current layer will be removed.
